Welcome to the Beta Theta Pi events page. The Fraternity as a whole, hosts a number of events throughout the year. Local events, generally hosted by the chapter, tend to be more frequent, require less time and are more personal. Whereas the General Fraternity events and Leadership Development programs are typically held in the summer, require some travel and span over the course of a few days. Some events are free of charge. Whilst other events might cost you some money. Regardless of your financial situation, there are no shortages of things to do and ways to get involved. Never a dull moment in Beta Theta Pi!

Chapter Events

Throughout the year, the Zeta Eta chapter hosts a number of events that are open to the San Jose State campus community, whereas some events are more specific to members of the Fraternity only. Chapter events range from fun brotherhood activities and recruitment events, to formal chapter meetings and new member banquets. Fraternity Events

Four times a year, the General Fraternity hosts alumni appreciation dinners throughout North America. Typically, these events are held in conjunction with the Beta Theta Pi Foundation and Fraternity board meetings where the business of the Fraternity is often discussed and decided upon. Undergraduates, alumni members and guests are all welcomed to attend. Participants learn about the state of the Fraternity, reconnect with lost brothers or old friends and network with successful alumni. (Click here) to learn more.

Leadership Development

Beta Theta Pi is committed to developing its members into the leaders of tomorrow. In 2008, over 1,600 Beta undergraduates attended one of our award-winning leadership development programs. Beta has received 11 international awards since 1999 for outstanding leadership development programming. In fact, Beta has so many successful leadership programs that the Fraternity is also known as the "Leadership Development Fraternity."
